Beautifying HTML re-indents nested tags with consistent spacing, making minified or machine-generated markup easy to read and debug.
Minifying does the opposite — it strips whitespace, comments, and minifies inline <script> blocks, producing the smallest possible payload for production use. Use the CSS Formatter & Minifier separately for inline <style> blocks or external stylesheets.
Both run entirely in your browser using open-source libraries (js-beautify and html-minifier-terser) — nothing is sent to a server.
What's the difference between Beautify and Minify?
Beautify re-indents markup for readability during development; Minify strips whitespace and comments and minifies inline <script> blocks, producing the smallest payload for production.
Does minifying change how the page renders?
No — only insignificant whitespace, comments, and syntax are removed; the parsed DOM structure and rendered output stay the same.
Is my HTML sent to a server?
No — both modes run entirely in your browser using open-source libraries.
